What is racial trauma?
Racial trauma is the impact of racism on people's mental health, on their wellbeing and how it traumatizes people to not only experience racism, but also witness things that are happening to people of their own race as well as others of racialized communities.
On the weekend it was released, the video of the killing of Tyree Nichols. Today, as people are heading back into work, into their work life, actually show actions that are not performative.
Check in and talk to people about the impact of these killings. We thought it would be different with the killing of Rodney King, with the killing George Floyd. And here we are again.
